Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the ability of a computer or machine to mimic the cognitive functions of the human mind such as learning, problem solving and decision making. There are different types of AI, from simple to complex:

  • Simple AI: Simple AI systems are designed to perform specific tasks, such as understanding and responding to voice commands or identifying objects in an image.
  • General AI: General AI systems are designed to perform a variety of tasks, similar to a human. These systems are still at an early stage of development and are not yet widely available.
  • Super AI: Super AI systems are hypothetical AI systems that would be significantly more intelligent than humans in a variety of tasks. It is not clear whether such systems will ever be developed.

AI systems are typically trained with big data and algorithms that allow them to improve their performance over time. They are used in a variety of applications, including self-driving cars, facial recognition and language translation.
